Can you play ark while its downloading mods??

At the bottom you should have a checkbox named "Allow downloads during gameplay" which needs to be checked for ark (and other games) to be able to download mods e.t.c. while the game is running. Press "Ok" and you should be good to go! I downloaded Ark through the Windows 10 store, since it was free with game pass. But I would like to be able to add some of these cool mods that are on steam.  · @ pm. when you join the server and need a mod to be installed it will first be downloaded in steam via workshop close ark wait for the download to be complete then launch ark and wait until the mod is installed because workshop only downloads some files but only ark installes them. normaly you get a timeout while conecting this.

If your ok buying the steam version you should be able to find your games directory and copy everything in the savedarkslocal folder to the steam versions one and all should be good otherwise you might be outa luck. 2. level 2.
